Steven Arnold

Mr. Arnold leads KPMG’s Global Financial Service Practice focused on ESG Solutions and co-leads KPMG’s Financial Service Data practice. Before joining KPMG, he worked with large Financial Services firms including MUFG Union Bank in finance and risk management; he has prior education and experience in environmental sciences. Within KPMG, he is a part of the ESG leadership group supporting Consulting Services and involved in diversity and other internal efforts supporting the firms’ ESG commitments. At KPMG, Mr. Arnold leads a team of over 200 professionals across the globe, including offshore center of excellence.

Global Lead ESG Solutions

  • Advisor to large Financial Services firms on their enterprise ESG strategies (including disclosure)
  • Supporting development of disclosure (e.g., TCFD, SASB) production process, including data sourcing, aggregation, controls and attestation
  • Developed governance framework and monitoring & tracking solutions supporting Sustainable Finance investments
  • Establishing approach to integrate ESG components into Enterprise Risk frameworks
  • Managing technology development around ESG data quality, reporting and analytics, including formal alliances with 3rd party vendors

Co-Lead US Data Practice

  • Supported overall enterprise data strategy and roadmap, including implementation planning and data literacy approach
  • Developed control framework at point of capture, transport, and use layers
  • Worked on identifying, nominating and detailing requirements for authoritative data sources, including the use of data lineage tools
  • Established machine learning approach to identification of data anomalies and associated operating model; and conducted data quality assessments including tool selection
  • Recent work on establishing data governance & management supporting cloud applications, and supporting data analytics center of excellence

Mr. Arnold has an MBA from Canisius College, a Ph.D. in Environmental Medicine from University of Rochester and a B.A. in Biochemistry from Canisius College.  

Lauren Anderson

Lauren Anderson is Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel for Regulatory Affairs at BPI.  Ms. Anderson is responsible for developing advocacy and policy analysis in relation to cross-border banking issues; recovery and resolution matters; the international agenda on Too Big to Fail and fragmentation; and foreign prudential regulation impacting US banking operations. 

Prior to joining BPI, Ms. Anderson worked at both the Bank of England and the FDIC.  While at the Bank of England, Ms. Anderson was a senior advisor to the Governor on issues of sustainable finance.  She headed up the Bank’s EU Withdrawal Unit from 2016-2018, during which time she was responsible for overseeing the review of all EU financial services legislation to be “onshored” in the UK, advising the Government on trade-related issues for financial services, and advising the Bank’s Financial Policy Committee and Prudential Risk Authority on matters of financial stability and prudential regulation as impacted by Brexit.   Prior to her role of Head of EU Withdrawal, Ms. Anderson was Head of Resolution Execution responsible for overseeing the Bank’s resolution planning work, engagement with the FSB and execution in relation to troubled firms.  Before joining the Bank of England, Ms. Anderson was a Special Advisor and legal counsel at the FDIC working in the Chairman’s Office during the financial crisis and through the drafting and passage of the Dodd-Frank Act.  Prior to law school, Ms. Anderson worked at the Department of Interior as a policy analyst. 

Ms. Anderson received her JD/MS from Tulane University Law School in New Orleans, Louisiana and is a member of the NY Bar.  Ms. Anderson also holds an LLM in International Trade Law from the University of Leeds (UK) and received her BA from the University of Denver. 

Betty Huber

Betty Moy Huber is co-head of the firm's ESG Group as well as co-head of the firm's Environmental Transactional Group. For over two decades, she has provided advice in hundreds of transactions as well as ESG, disclosure and other regulatory advice to various public and private equity companies.

A former member of the SASB’s Advisory Council, she speaks on ESG topics for numerous organizations including ALI, ABA, Bank Policy Institute, corporatecounsel.net, Environmental Law Institute, Lawline, the New York City Bar, Risk Management Association, SIFMA, and the Society for Corporate Governance.

Ms. Huber writes on ESG topics for various publications, including Bloomberg BNA, Financial Times' Agenda, Law360.com, CFO.com, Directorship magazine, Financier Worldwide, Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation, Corporate Governance Advisor and Dow Jones Private Equity Analyst.

She is cited as a legal expert in countless publications, including Barron's, Pensions & Investments, Thomson Reuters and The Wall Street Journal.

Ms. Huber guest lectures on ESG matters at various law schools including University of Virginia and University of Florida.

Tobi Petrocelli

In continued efforts to implement a sustainable culture, Dr. Tobi Petrocelli is the Director of Environmental Stewardship role at MUFG Union Bank. Dr. Petrocelli is responsible for the creation, implementation, and management of the Bank’s Environmental Sustainability program, which is based on the principles of sustainability:

* Foster economic, social, and environmental sustainability

* Promote financial prosperity, sociocultural equity, and diversity

* Conserve natural resources to preserve and improve the environment

Tobi creates efficient environmental, social and governance policies throughout the bank’s operational locations and supply chain and reporting on them through standardized metrics and frameworks. Secondly, she helps develop products and services that serve the markets demand for more sustainable opportunities for investors. “In banking there are internal value drivers and external customer strategies – these typically run parallel rather in synchrony and my responsibility is to integrate ESG factors throughout MUFG and its subsidiaries.” Additionally, Petrocelli heads environmental stewardship for the Corporate Social Responsability division, implementing the guiding principles of MUFG Union Bank. As part of this program, we create partnerships with local communities, volunteers, and bak employees to help meet the goals to stabilize or revitalize low and moderate income (LMI) communities, promote social equity, and diversity as well as support environmental initiatives in the activities and enterprises we support.

Dr. Petrocelli’s extensive experience includes her position as Founder of Verde Enterprises, a company created to develop sustainable solutions and best practices for capital systems and corporate operations through technological innovation and corporate responsibility. Her industry expertise is in the areas of corporate banking, infrastructure, communications and consumer -creating growth in profitability by assessing environmental, economic and social governance and mapping solutions for improvement. She is an international contributor in the field of sustainability through her previous roles as Communications Consultant with the United Nations Environmental Programme in Geneva, Switzerland; Sustainability Advisor with AccountAbility in NY; and Director of Strategic Initiatives & Sustainability with Clearbrook Global Advisors. Tobi Petrocelli holds a Doctorate in International Business from Walden University and a Masters in Sustainability Management from Columbia University.

Hailey Orr

Hailey Orr is a Director in MUFG’s Capital Markets Strategy group within the global capital markets and investment banking business. The team provides market based content for corporate clients to assist in strategic decision making. Focus areas include the impact of economic, political, public policy and regulatory dynamics on the US credit, foreign exchange, rates and commodities markets.

Hailey has a decade of Wall Street experience, including three years as a Consumer Sector Specialist in Equity Sales and seven years as a Capital Markets Strategist. Hailey is also a member of MUFG’s Inclusion & Diversity Council and has devoted years to participating in and developing Wall Street recruiting programs.

Hailey graduated with honors from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business with a BBA and a minor in International Studies.

In March 2020, Crain’s New York Business Magazine named Hailey one of the “Rising Stars in Banking and Finance”.
