Dr. Sharma, a native Californian, received her B.A. in Psychology from Creighton University in 2003, and her M.D. from Creighton University’s School of Medicine in 2007. She returned to California, completing an Internal Medicine residency at University of California Davis Medical Center where she was subsequently appointed as Chief Resident. In 2014 she completed a fellowship in Gastroenterology & Hepatology at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco.

Dr. Sharma is a board-certified gastroenterologist with particular interests in liver and inflammatory bowel diseases together with colon cancer screening and prevention.

Peter Bogardus is a Vice President and Private Wealth Advisor II for The Private Bank. He works with a team of specialists in wealth planning, investments, risk management, trust and estate services, and banking in San Francisco. Peter works with high-net-worth clients to help them build, sustain, and transfer wealth based on their distinct priorities.

Peter joined Union Bank in 2017. Most recently he was a financial advisor with Wells Fargo Advisors and prior to that worked for Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in San Francisco. Before his career in finance, Peter was an attorney in Colorado for 14 years. He started and ran a law practice that provided mediation services and handled estate planning, real estate, and business transactions. While an attorney, Peter worked as a mediator for the Office of Dispute Resolution of the Colorado Judicial Branch. Also during his years in Colorado, Peter served as a Municipal Court Judge for over seven years. Just before he ended his law career, Peter was nominated to serve as a Colorado District Court Judge. While living in Colorado, Peter developed real estate and volunteered for boards related to real estate development, affordable housing, and the local land trust.

Peter has lived in China, Spain, Mexico, and Costa Rica. He has an undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College (1987) and both a law degree (1994) and a Master of Science degree in Forest Resources (1995) from the University of Washington in Seattle. Peter was raised in Marin County, California, and lives there today. He enjoys traveling with his daughter, biking, skiing, and telling stories of his adventures as a cycling and trekking guide on the Silk Road in Central Asia.
