Todd Lowenstein
Todd Lowenstein
Todd Lowenstein is Managing Director at The Private Bank. Todd is also the Equity Research Executive at HighMark Capital Management (HighMark), an investment advisory subsidiary of MUFG Union Bank, N.A., where he is responsible for leading HighMark’s equity research activities. He is also a member of HighMark’s Investment Policy Committee and Asset Allocation Committee.

Todd joined Union Bank in 2001 and has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from University of California at Santa Barbara, and a Master of Business Administration with from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Additionally, he is a Certified Public Accountant, a member of the Chartered Financial Analyst® Society of Los Angeles, and an adjunct professor in the Economics Department at UC Santa Barbara. Todd is a regular contributor to the financial news media including Bloomberg, Barron’s, the Wall Street Journal, and Dow Jones.

Margaret Reid
Mrs. Margaret Reid
Margaret Reid is a Vice President and Portfolio Manager at The Private Bank. Margaret manages investment portfolios on behalf of high-net-worth clients, trusts, foundations, and non-profit organizations. She works with a team of specialists in The Private Bank, an exclusive part of Union Bank®, providing wealth planning, investments, risk management, trust and estate services, and banking advice to clients and advisors. She is also a member of the Asset Allocation Committee at HighMark Capital Management, an investment advisory subsidiary of MUFG Union Bank, N.A.

Margaret joined Union Bank in 2013 and began her career in the investment industry in 2000 at Piper Jaffray. Prior to her current role at The Private Bank, Margaret served as an Assistant Portfolio Manager during her seven years at Allianz Global Investors on their U.S. Large Cap Growth team. Margaret leverages her years of experience with a focus on providing investment management solutions tailored specifically to her clients’ goals. Margaret has a Bachelor of Arts from California State University, Sacramento and is a CFA® charterholder since 2012. She is an active member of the CFA Society of San Francisco, having previously co-chaired their Women’s Initiative Network (WIN). She currently serves on the CFA Society of San Francisco’s Board of Directors.

Greg Haendel
Greg Haendel
Greg Haendel is a Managing Director and Fixed Income Strategy Executive at The Private Bank. The Private Bank is an exclusive part of Union Bank® dedicated to the financial needs of high net worth individuals, non-profit organizations, business owners, corporate executives, and professional service firms. The Private Bank is built around teams of wealth management professionals who provide consultative relationships centered on the client’s unique goals and dreams.

As Fixed Income Strategy Executive, Greg is responsible for overseeing the Core Fixed Income, Short-Term Fixed Income and Tax-Free Fixed Income strategies. Greg also serves as Head of Fixed Income for HighMark Capital Management, Inc. (HighMark), an investment advisory subsidiary of MUFG Union Bank, N.A., and is a member of the Investment Policy, Asset Allocation and Compliance Committees at HighMark.

Prior to joining Union Bank in 2020, Greg was a Senior Portfolio Manager and Head of Investment Grade Credit for Tortoise Credit Strategies. He brings over 20 years of investment management experience, the majority of which have been in the fixed income space, holding senior level portfolio manager positions at Bradford & Marzec, First Western Capital Management and AEGON USA Investment Management.

Greg earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from Amherst College and his MBA from The Anderson School at UCLA. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of the Los Angeles Society of Financial Analysts.

In his free time, Greg enjoys skiing, scuba diving, running and spending time with his wife and daughter.
